The long delayed thirteenth season of the IPL 2020 is going to start this September and we have the complete IPL 2020 schedule in a downloadable PDF.

The IPL or Indian Premier League is part of the T20 competition. It is considered one of the biggest tournaments in the ICC World T20, so cricket fans in India and around the world have been itching to see ipl 2020 schedule.

Delayed due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic

The IPL 2020 was supposed to begin in March 29, but was delayed because of COVID-19’s impact on India. In an effort to control the pandemic, the government has placed the country on lockdown and restricted travel to and around the country.

After obtaining permission from the Indian government, the BCCI announced that this IPL tournament will take place in the United Arab Emirates.

The matches will now be held from September 19 to November 8, in three venues around the UAE. The games will be held in Dubai’s International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah’s Sharjah Cricket Stadium, and Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Teams going for glory

There will be eight teams participating in IPL 2020. For the past 2 years, these teams have battled it out and of the eight, three have yet to win the tournament.

Last year’s winners were the Mumbai Indians. This team has actually won the IPL four times, last year (2019), 2017, 2015, 2013. They will be opening the 2020 tournament facing off against the Chennai Super Kings.

The Chennai Super Kings were the runner-ups last year, but they’ve won the tournament three times before. They won in 2018, 2011, and 2010.

The Delhi Capitals are also in this year’s tournament and they have something to prove. They are currently the only team to never place in an IPL final.

The Kings XI Punjab has never won the IPL, though they came close when they were the runner ups in the 2014 IPL. They were defeated by the Kolkata Knight Riders.

The Kolkata Knight Riders have won the IPL twice, the latest being their 2014 win and their first in 2012.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have won one IPL, back in 2016, they are the newest team in the league, being founded in 2012.

 While the Royal Challengers Bangalore have never won the IPL, but they’ve been the runners up thrice, first in 2009, then in 2011, 2016.
